Prolight + Sound Guangzhou 2015 change of show date |

HONG KONG -( ASIA TODAY )- The organisers of Prolight + Sound Guangzhou, originally scheduled for March 2015, will now take place 5 – 8 April 2015, at the Area A, China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, China.
Commenting on the change of date, Ms Fiona Chiew, Deputy General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd said: “The change is a strategic move to better accommodate the sourcing season of China’s professional audio and lighting industry. This year’s show attracted 1,138 exhibitors from 25 countries and regions as well as 60,068 visitors. This was a significant 23.4 percent and 24.2 percent growth respectively compared to the 2013 show. With the new date, we are confident that we can provide a better sourcing and networking platform that will attract even more exhibitors and visitors from the industry.”
Many exhibitors of the 2014 show believed that Prolight + Sound Guangzhou is an ideal trade destination for tapping into Chinese market. One such company is beyerdynamic Asia Pte Ltd from Singapore. Mr Michael Kinzel, Sales & Marketing Director for the company said: “This show is the new rising star for us and it has the potential to become an international exhibition. It’s important to have the right channel to get into the fast moving Chinese market. This show reflects what is happening in the market.”
Visitors were impressed with the multiple sourcing options offered at the show. Brazilian buyer, Mr Rodrigo Franco, General Manager for Templo Dos Instrumentos commented: “There are lots of brands here and I am enjoying the show. The show is important because we have the opportunity to meet exhibitors face to face, and negotiate with them. This is very helpful for the business.”
