High Ranking Delegation from Taiwan Visits INDEX Medical Centre |

Dubai – United Arab Emirates, February 17th 2014: H.E. Wen-Ta Chiu, Minister of Health and Welfare of Taiwan accompanied by the Deputy Minister along with high ranking healthcare officials from various city government and hospitals from Taiwan, visited INDEX Medical Centre today located in Dubai Health Care City. The visit is scheduled in order to discuss the development of bilateral relationships in the field of healthcare services, academic exchange, and to promote medical tourism between Dubai and Taiwan.
Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Chairman of INDEX Holding and Special Advisor for the International Hospital Federation in the Middle East Region received the delegation and toured with them the different sections in the centre and were briefed about the variety of medical services that the centre provides for patients.
Dr. Al Madani welcomed the delegation from Taiwan and wished them a pleasant stay in Dubai. He also discussed with them ways of cooperation in order to enhance partnerships in the health sector. From his side, H.E. Wen-Ta Chiu was impressed with INDEX Medical Centre and the number of local and international specialists who work diligently to provide the best healthcare services for patients.
H.E. also encouraged the investment in the medical field and called for strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries. H.E. mentioned that the UAE in general and Dubai in particular is considered and ideal place for investment, because of its rich resources and expertise in addition to the infrastructure and different services that the UAE provides for its nation and residents.
INDEX Medical Center boasts more than 10,000 square feet at the Dubai Health Care City, with Emirati and international resident staff, in addition to visiting doctors and specialists who come from all parts of the world including South Korea, Germany and the United States of America.
