Prolight + Sound Guangzhou attracts exhibitors from 20 countries and regions |

A strong line up of 1,100 professional audio and lighting suppliers will be present at Prolight + Sound Guangzhou, China’s largest industry event which will be held from 24 – 27 February 2014 in Area A at the China Import and Export Fair Complex, Guangzhou, China.
The show is jointly organised by Guangdong International Science and Technology Exhibition Company (STE) and Messe Frankfurt.
The exhibitors will showcase their latest products and technologies at the four-day event and represent the following 20 countries and regions: Australia, Canada, China, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Korea, Lithuania, the Netherland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Taiwan, the UK and the US.

Running concurrently with the show will be a number of fringe programmes focusing on industry development trends and market intelligence. Ms Fiona Chiew, Deputy General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd explained: “Prolight + Sound Guangzhou has always been an important industry platform for information exchange, promotion and education. This year’s show will feature new and in-depth fringe events to strengthen industry development and communication led by industry leaders and experts.”

Applications of AV System in the Hotel Industry
The rapidly expanding MICE industry has led to an increased demand for lighting and conference systems in the hotel sector. Cooperating with the China Hotel Association, this debut seminar will discuss how to optimise high-end AV system usage for hotel and MICE industries.
Lighting Technology for Television Broadcasting Studio Forum 2014
Continuing last year’s sucess, the show will again co-organise this forum with the Guangdong Television and Advanced Television Engineering Magazine, run by China Central Television. TV station heads, engineers and lighting technicians will exchange new ideas in television and stage lighting.
One of the speakers Mr Andreas Gause, Sales and Marketing Director of Gerriets GmbH will present a session called ‘Advanced Art of International TV Studio Lighting Projection Technology’. Mr Gause is famous by his work in the projection design industry. He was involved in the projection design for Mercedes-Benz exhibition stands at major car shows, as well as the Bavarian State Opera, music shows and German TV talk shows. He also lectures and writes for a leading German trade magazine.
Outdoor Line Array Demo
The demonstration will feature 28 leading international and local audio brands in the open area outside hall 4.1 and 6.1, visitors can experience a professional concert sound effect. Some participating brands include CLASSIC SOUND, CPL, CVR, DE Acoustics, Drillnew Audio, ERIC, FDB, FINESPL, IBO, JAZZPRO, LYNX, PhsydBol Audio, QANON, RealSound, RVS, SAE, TASSO AUAL, TB, TPA, VEE, WAVK and ZSOUND.
The 4th Edition Pro Audio Technology Seminar
Around 200 participants including TV station heads, chief engineers, audio technicians and experts from across China will share their audio and broadcasting technology knowledge at this seminar hosted by the Guangdong Association of Recording Engineers. Topics include:

To encourage the development of cultural performances, this forum will have more than 300 performance groups exchanging the latest industry technology and developments.
Fair organisers invite VIP buyers from important markets
To provide exhibitors with new business opportunities in Chinese market, the fair organisers have worked with key trade associations and organisations to invite more than 900 important buyers to the show. One of them is local online trade portal HC360 which is organising a professional buyer delegation to attend the show’s business matching programme. Key trade association from vertical market will also organise buyer delegation, making the show a connecting point for performing art professionals. Apart from meeting and networking with exhibitors, the delegation will visit factories in Guangdong Province, one of the world’s most important pro audio and lighting manufacturing hubs, to understand current industry developments in the region.
