Features of KRD screw conveyors are simple-structured with small-sized cross-section, well-sealed and reliable with competitive fabrication cost. It is convenient to feed or discharge material at the middle position, and the conveying direction could be reverse, and even in two opposite directions simultaneously. During the conveying process, the materials could be mixed, heated, cooled. The material flow rate could be adjustable via control valves. But it is not suitable for deteriorated, sticky, or lump-tendency materials. The materials are likely to be broken during the conveying, and wear and tear is expected to the screw and the shells. The unit energy consumption is big. The sealing status of shell and suitable gaps between the screw and the shell should be maintained properly.

The vertical screw conveyor is suitable for short distance vertical conveying. The bendable screw conveyor consists of flexible axle and compound rubber blades, and could be arranged easily subject to the space constrains on site. The screw blades could be welded with different sizes and thicknesses on site; or fabricated as a whole in the workshop, but not suitable for the nonstandard screw.
