Description
Performance and Usage:
PAPE is a novel water treatment chemical with good scale inhibition and corrosion resistance properties.
The introduction of multiple polyoxyethylene groups in the molecule enhances its corrosion resistance and the ability to disperse calcium scale and suspended solids.
It effectively inhibits the deposition of barium and strontium scales, which are challenging for existing scale inhibitors, and also provides excellent scale inhibition for sparingly soluble salts like calcium carbonate and calcium sulfate.
PAPE offers cathodic protection for steel and is more effective than similar products available domestically.
It is miscible with polycarboxylate, organophosphonates, inorganic phosphates, and zinc salts, making it versatile for use with other water treatment agents.
The product is suitable as a scale inhibitor for oilfield water injection and as a corrosion and scale inhibitor for circulating cooling water treatment.
Technical Specifications:
Appearance: Colorless to yellow transparent liquid
Solid Content: ≥ 50.0%
Density at 20°C: ≥ 1.25 g/cm³
pH Value (1% aqueous solution): 2.0 - 3.0
Usage and Dosage:
The dosage varies depending on water quality and process conditions. Generally, PAPE is used at less than 15 mg/L as a scale inhibitor and can be used up to over 150 mg/L as a closed circuit corrosion inhibitor.
Packaging and Storage:
PAPE is packaged in plastic drums, with each drum containing either 25 kg or 250 kg, or as per customer requirements.
It should be stored in a cool, dry place with a shelf life of twelve months.
Safety and Precautions:
PAPE is an acidic liquid, and care should be taken during handling to avoid contact with skin and eyes. In case of contact, it should be rinsed off immediately with plenty of water.
