The taiga, the deciduous forests (more than one-fifth of the world's woodland), the tundra in the north, the mountain meadowland of the south, the west Siberian steppe, the marshlands of Kolyma, the flood-lands and water- meadows - all this is just part of the diverse geography of Russia.
