The 15th Dongguan China Shoes. China Shoetec (hereinafter "Dongguan China Shoes") will be grandly staged on Nov 1-3, 2012 at Guangdong Modern International Exhibition Center, Houjie, Dongguan, PR China. A featured “Kids’ Shoes Zone” will be launched and “The 4th China Leather Innovative Design Competition”, co-organizing with Shenzhen Leather Association, will be held in response to the market development trend.

Adjusted leather goods tariff to provide favorable conditions for footwear industry
According to data provided by Chinese Leather Association, there are some new features on import and export tariffs in 2012: first, China's bilateral or multilateral free trade zone continues to enjoy preferential tariff with increased margin and expanded scope. Countries and regions which have signed free trade agreement with China can enjoy conventional tariff, which is lower than the preferential tariff. Second, temporarily lowered import tariff continues to be applied to some of the semi-finished leather products. The lowered and preferential tariff will help to reduce the cost of the importers, encourage foreign high-end brands to enter the Chinese market, and stimulate local and foreign-owned enterprises to invest in Chinese domestic market. This opportunity gives rise to the 15th Dongguan China Shoes, which aim to assist domestic and foreign enterprises in building a platform for sourcing, brand promotion and tapping new business channels in order to deal with new competition in the market.

Featured “Kids’ Shoes Zone” to embrace domestic and overseas famous brands
There are about 250 million children under age 14 in China, among them about 90 million are living in the cities. Consumption for children accounts for about 25% of the total income of a family, and is increasing at a rate of over 9% every year. This great opportunity gives rise to many famous children’s shoes brands which create a competitive market with improved quality, design, comfort and environmental friendliness. This year the fair will continue to present “Kids’ Shoes Zone”. “The 4th China Leather Innovative Design Competition”
To enhance the design of shoe industry and give fashionable elements and highlights to the fair, the 15th Dongguan China Shoes will cooperate with Shenzhen Leather Association to hold “The 4th Belle Innovation Charity Fund Sponsored China Leather Innovative Design Competition” for the first time. The competition aims at encouraging original design and seeking creative talents. The previous competition attracted more than 500 contestants including students majoring in shoes and bags design from domestic universities and designers from enterprises engaged in shoes and bags design. More than 600 pieces of design were received; most of them were innovative and fully represented Oriental elements and trend. Will there be more amazing and creative works this year? How will they affect the fashion trend? Who will be the talented designer shining in the spotlight? Let’s look forward to it!

There will be five awards with significant funds for new business/training. Some of the winners will be invited to the world's largest international shoes exhibition GDS in March 2013 in Dusseldorf. They will be able to experience the most international fashion atmosphere, enjoy the most avant-garde shoes design, and participate in the most in-depth and innovative academic activities. All award-winning works will be displayed at GDS to show the Chinese original design and inspiration to the world. The competition is now open for application and the deadline is July 15, 2012.
