Messe Frankfurt USA to Launch Atlanta Texprocess Show in 2012 |

2010/5/3 |
Atlanta, GA – Messe Frankfurt will launch the second show of its fledgling Texprocess brand in Atlanta in 2012.
Texprocess Americas will be organized by Messe Frankfurt USA in a partnership with the Sewn Products Equipment & Suppliers of the Americas (SPESA), the trade association that had produced SPESA EXPO. The triennial SPESA EXPO, which replaced the venerable Bobbin Show in 2002, will be discontinued after its 2010 run May 18-20 at the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) in Atlanta.
Texprocess Americas will debut at the GWCC April 24-26, 2012. It will run as a biennial event in even-numbered years when the biennial Texprocess in Frankfurt is dark. “We believe that the combination of Texprocess Americas and Texprocess will position the Texprocess brand as the most important series of events in the processing of textiles and flexible materials,” said David Audrain, president and CEO of Messe Frankfurt USA.
Audrain said SPESA EXPO 2010 was projected to total approximately 75,000 net square feet (nsf). He also told Trade Show Executive the early target for Texprocess Americas would be somewhere north of 75,000 nsf.
The new show will target a wide range of exhibitors and attendees in the Western Hemisphere, including a sizable customer pool in Latin America. It will be geared toward garment manufacturers, plus producers of non-clothing goods such as leather goods, upholstery, awnings and other commercial products.
Messe Frankfurt USA and SPESA had earlier struck a deal to co-locate SPESA EXPO 2010 with Techtextil North America. The idea for combining SPESA EXPO with the new Texprocess brand came after Messe Frankfurt launched Texprocess alongside the German version of Techtextil. “This now makes the Texprocess shows the leading industry events in both Europe and the Americas,” said Audrain. |
