I worked with local injection moulding companies in need of an educated plastics workforce in China. As others have suggested, get the leadership / owners of some of your local injection moulding companies that have requirements and form a consortium. We worked with a Chinese community college and they allowed us to set up the course through them as long as each company guaranteed a certain number of students to fill the class. I ended up working with the community college and set up a polymer and processing class based on the old GE training system. They hired me to instruct the class. We were able to get Van Dorn to donate an 80 Ton injection moulding machine for the class and many area injection moulders donated tooling and material for the students to use. The consortium companies paid for their employee / student's tuition as long as they got a C or better in the class and had good attendance. The classes were open to the public as well in China.

For prototypes, you may even want to consider glass, or carbon, reinforced thermoset resin such as epoxy or polyester. It would lend itself to lower cost fabrication equipment, high strength, high stiffness, and temperature stability. You could create 1/2 moulds and apply with a chopper gun, dress at the parting line, epoxy together and apply glass cloth over the inside seam. A gel coat could provide a host of finish colors, or paint is also an option with good adhesion. Carbon/Epoxy would perform best, but be the most expensive. Kevelar/Epoxy or Glass/Epoxy would be somewhere in China. Glass/Polyester may perform adequately. For Kevlar / Epoxy: I would check through Dupont for distributors of the cloth or chopper gun fibers. The 2 component epoxy (or polyester resin) can be priced through automotive or boat supply houses. Sometimes it is helpful to have fiberglass mat above the Kevlar for sanding and smoothing, A boating supply marina may be able to help you source a chopper gun as well.

We develop and engineer moulds projects both domestically and global. I have a project that may require some sort of decoration, either post-moulding, or in-moulding. I opened and studied your website and your offering is certainly formidable. I have added you to my research file and will for sure keep your company in mind. We are representatives for two Chinese moulding manufacturers with extensive injection moulding expertise. With one of the injection moulding companies, we are incorporating near field antenna and electrical circuitry into the in-mould process. With the second company, we have been successful injection moulding a polycarbonate label to a TPE material, giving complete flexibility of the finished part without de-lamination or cracking. This is two of the leading edge processes that are coming on line. If you would be interested in further information, let me know.
